Anthony Davis, as expected, is having a very good season for the New Orleans Hornets. He is averaging 12 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game on about 29 minutes per game. Dirk Nowitzki looked like his MVP self last night against the Hornets. He scored 25 points in what would ultimately become a Mavericks victory.  After Ryan Anderson hit a three-pointer with 55.5 seconds remaining, it appeared the Mavs were out of luck with the score sitting at 100-96. A pair of threes from Mike James and Vince Carter gave the Mavs the lead, which they held on to until the end of regulation. Are the Mavericks on the rise? This Saturday at Notre Dame, we saw the #11 Louisville Cardinals face off against the #25 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The game was ESPN's feature for College GameDay, and part of this included an $18,000 half-court shot for a Notre Dame senior named Casey Murdock. He had 18 seconds to take as many shots as possible, and sank the second one. Here's the video.

So, yes this is all very exciting. But wait, there's more. The game itself went to quintuple overtime, which is the longest regular season game in history. The game came down to the final seconds, but Notre Dame pulled off the upset. Here's the vid:
